Brief
A neighborhood association and St Petersburg Transit Authority (PSTA) launched a pilot program to give the community access to public transportation via the neighborhood association. The initiative aimed to expand mobility options for residents while fostering collaboration between local communities and the transit system.
SOLUTION
Program’s effectiveness and identify scalable opportunities
To evaluate the pilot program’s effectiveness and identify scalable opportunities, we applied a user-centered design approach. Our team conducted in-depth user research, including interviews with key stakeholders. Elicited feedback from Bloomberg coaches to better understand how different communities and transit authorities can use such documentation.
We utilized UX frameworks to map user journeys, analyze pain points, and assess the program’s impact on both the community and the transit authority.
Additionally, we examined operational considerations, including people processes and technology, and funding structure. Our goal was to create a replicable model that balanced the needs of residents with the transit authority’s long-term objectives.
OUTCOME
A playbook of Ideas
Based on our research and analysis we created a playbook for the pilot program visualizing the member experience, highlighting the impact of alternative mobility options for the community and the transit authority.
